WARNING
Preparation - Removing Enclosure Knockouts.
Remove device from carton and recycle the packaging.
Before removing any knockouts, determine where the wiring
must enter and exit the enclosure and also determine the size
of the required knockout based on the size of conduit or cable
being used as per the local electrical codes. Remove only
those knockouts needed for wiring.
On multiple ring knockouts, first remove the center section by
striking at the furthest point from tie (Figure 1). Bend back and
forth to break tie and completely remove the center disk.
Remove larger rings, one at a time, by prying with a
screwdriver (Figure 2.) and bending back and forth with pliers,
as shown in Figure 3.
To prevent damage to insulation, use only approved clamps,
conduit and fittings.

Installation - Mounting the Enclosure on the Surface
Surface Mounting
Align and level the enclosure. This device can be installed in
any positions on a plane surface by using only screws or nails
through pre-cut holes in the back of the enclosure.
Flush Mounting
Position the enclosures between two studs so that the front
edge of the enclosure will be flush with the finished wall.
Oval knockouts are provided on both sides of the enclosure for
mounting with nails or screws.
Installation - Grounding and Bounding
Refer to the local electrical codes or the latest edition of the
Canadian Electrical Code.
For service entrance applications, no modification is required
since the the neutral bonding strap is factory-installed.
If the main breaker loadcentre is not used as a service
entrance equipment , REMOVE the bounding strap as shown in
figure 4 (item A). In this case, the ground lug kit may be
required (see accessories list).

Installation - Mounting Main and Neutral Wires
The wire sizes must be determined as required by the local
electrical codes. Install and torque the main and neutral wires
to the value specified on the main label.
Installation - Installing Branch Circuit Breakers
Install Siemens branch circuit breakers by hooking the foot of
the breaker under the rail of the basepan and pressing the
breaker onto the busbar stabs as shown in figure 6. Install the
branch wire into the load terminal of the branch circuit breaker.
Tighten the wire screw to the torque value specified on the
breaker label. Install and torque the neutral and ground wires to
the value specified on the main label.
The continuous load on a branch circuit must not exceed 80%
of the nominal rating of the circuit breaker.
Figure 6
Installation - Removing Branch Circuit Breakers
Make sure the
power supplying this equipment
is off. Disconnect
the wire from the load terminal. Remove the circuit breakers by
pulling outward from the busbar stabs
Final Installation - Removing Twistouts and Energizing
Determine where branch breakers will be installed. Lift the
plates with a screwdriver and remove the required twistouts
(Fig. 5) with pliers using an up and down motion.
Close all unused open spaces in the cover using filler plates as
listed on the main label (see the list of authorized accessories
for further details).
Before energizing this equipment, inspect again all the
electrical connections and then, replace all devices, covers and
doors. Turn OFF the main breaker (if applicable) and all the
branch circuit breakers. After power is turned ON to the
loadcenter, first turn ON the main circut breaker (if applicable)
and then turn ON the branch circuit breakers
