Body Armor® Stirrup Acute | Ankle Orthosis

are no longer guaranteed if the product is handled incorrectly. This device assists recovery and
should be used exclusively under the instruction of and in consultation with your doctor or a health-
care professional. DARCO (Europe) GmbH does not assume any responsibility. Do not wear the prod-
uct with injured, irritated, damaged or intact skin. You should use bandages or socks, for example.
You must not drive a vehicle while you are wearing this product. Use extreme caution when walking
with this device on uneven surfaces. Walk more slowly than usual.
This device is intended for single-patient use only.
Purpose
The Body Armor® Stirrup Acute is an ankle brace that is especially suitable for stabilizing the ankle
joint in the post-traumatic as well as in the preventive domain.

Design features

The ankle brace consists of two stable plastic shells connected plantar with a hook-and-loop
connection. This hook-and-loop connection allows width adjustment as well as dorsiflexion and
plantar flexion. The stabilizing plastic shells are equipped with padding material to prevent pres-
sure points and to allow adjustment to individual foot conditions. The brace is closed circularly with
two hook-and-loop straps.
The orthosis can be left on the foot while X-raying because no metal parts are used.
