3-5 ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

AN EFFECTIVE GROUNDING IS MANDATORY. The manufacturer is not responsible for damage
caused in the absence of the same (Do not connect to the water or gas pipes).
Before any intervention, disconnect the power
supply to the air conditioner, in addition the wiring
diagrams are subject to continuous updating and is
mandatory refer to those on the machine.
In particular, for electrical connections, checks
are required concerning the insulation resistance
of the electrical system and the continuity of the
protection conductors. If the power supply cables,
set to ground, communication or wire panel are
damaged, replacement with cables with the same
characteristics is mandatory.
The electrical connections must be made respecting
the following indications:
- Use cables that comply with the regulations in
force in the various countries.
- Respect the connection order of the phase, neutral
and earth conductors.
- Install a suitable electrical energy protection and
disconnection device with delayed characteristic
curve, with contacts opening
of at least 3 mm and with an adequate breaking
capacity and differential protection.
- If the machine power supply is three-phase, make
sure to respect the exact sequence of the phases
(check the correct operation with the pressure
gauges).

- The power supply voltage of the condensing unit
must have a value between ± 10% of the value
indicated on the production data plate. If this is
not respected, you must contact your electricity
supplier. In the presence of a three-phase supply,
the imbalance between the three phases must be a
maximum of 3%.
- It is forbidden to enter the electrical connection
cables inside the condensing unit in any other part
than the one envisioned by the manufacturer.
- The electrical connections are made on the terminal
board located inside the electrical component
compartment located behind the inspection panel.
- Connect the cable to the terminals inside the
electrical panel.
- Absolutely avoid direct contact with metal parts.
- Make sure, after about 10 minutes of operation of
the condensing unit, that the screws on the power
supply terminal board are closed.
- To protect the unit against short-circuits, fit an
omnipolar magnetothermal switch (IG) with a
minimum contact distance of at least 3 mm on all
poles on the power line.
