Maintenance, cleaning and transport of KAPRIOL helmets:
When the helmet is not being used it is advisable to protect if from sunlight; in any event
do not leave the helmet for a long period exposed to a source of light and/or heat (e.g. the
car window). The temperature limits within which the materials used retain their properties
are as follows: - 20°C to + 50°C or – 4 ° F to + 122 ° F. Avoid contact with corrosive
or abrasive substances. Wash the helmet (the shell, possible visor and inside) with only
neutral soap and water and leave it to dry naturally; after use leave the helmet to dry at
ambient temperature in a dry and airy place. The use of solvents or petroleum can alter the
properties of the helmet and compromise safety. For this reason it is advisable to avoid the
use of decorative stickers or paint. No special precautions need be taken for transporting
helmets. To guarantee the good condition of the helmet, care must be taken during tran-
sport not to bang it against obstacles and not to scrape or drag it over any surface. Repairs
or alterations (including removing details from or adding them to the helmet) are prohibited
since the safety properties of the product could be compromised. The manufacturer and/
or distributor will not accept responsibility for damage caused by modifications or repairs
carried out by unauthorised people. There are no spare parts that can be replaced. In
any case, any replacement of details must be done by done by the Manufacturer or by
personnel authorised by him.
Disposal: no special actions are required for disposal and the helmet can be disposed of
following the legal regulations in force for solid urban refuse.
Guarantee:
THE KAPRIOL GUARANTEE ONLY COVERS MANUFACTURING DEFECTS PROVIDED
THE HELMET WAS BOUGHT FROM ONE OF OUR AUTHORISED DEALERS.
The guarantee will only be applied to normal or routine use of our products, with the
limitations specified below:
A. Insurance costs, transport to and from an authorised dealer and costs other than those
for repair under guarantee are at the expense of the owner of the helmet.
B. Consumer rights in force under the applicable law hold good.
C. KAPRIOL will establish whether the defective helmet is a result of manufacture and
therefore covered by this guarantee, should it not be possible to repair the helmet sent,
KAPRIOL will change it for an identical one or a different model that is, in our opinion, of
the same value at no extra cost.
D. For the validity of the guarantee, the regulations in force in the country where KAPRIOL
products are sold will apply. Two years from the date of purchase must be considered for
the European market.
