• If the power cable is damaged, do not touch it; there is danger to life from
electric shock!
Switch off the mains voltage for the mains socket to which the power
cable is connected (switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker or re-
move the safety fuse).
Then you can remove the power plug of the power cable from the mains
socket. Dispose of the damaged power cable in an environment-friendly
way, do not use it any more. Do not try to repair a damaged power cable!

Installation and assembly
The gigabit switch can be installed or operated in different ways:
• Installation on a level surface (table, counter top etc.)
• Wall mounting with the help of mounting holes at the bottom
• Use of the magnets included in the delivery
plug included in the package contents (for voltage, see Chapter "Technical data").
The power LED of the gigabit switch must light up now, indicating that the product is
ready for operation.
nections of your computer (or with other devices with network connections, e.g.
television, satellite receiver, games consoles etc.).
The gigabit switch supplied has automatic uplink recognition for each port,
which allows for particularly simple wiring to other switches. A cross-link
cable is not required any more, you can use a conventional 1:1 connected
networking cable.
faultless network connection or it flashes during data transfers.
One yellow LED per port indicates an existing gigabit connection (LED lights up at
1000MBit, LED goes off at 10/100MBit).
If the rubber supports are delivered separately, paste them at the bottom of the
gigabit switch.
Ensure that the gigabit switch is stable and that it cannot topple over.
Protect valuable furniture surfaces with a suitable base, as otherwise scratches
may develop; or the surface may be exposed to discolouration from the rubber sup-
ports caused by chemical reactions.
The gigabit switch can be mounted on the wall with two screws or hooks on the
wall.
While driving the screws/hooks in the wall provided for the purpose (you can also
use fitting dowels), please ensure that no cable or pipe in the wall is damaged!
Finally, hang the gigabit switch on the screws/hooks you just fixed on the wall, so
that it sits tightly and cannot fall down.
Fasten the magnets with the countersunk bolt included in the delivery to the bottom
of the gigabit switch. Do not use any other screws to fasten the magnets, because
this can damage the gigabit switch (too long screws destroy the PCB inside the
gigabit switch; loss of warranty!).
The network switch can now be fastened on a suitable surface over the magnets.
Please note that fastening the magnets can lead to scratches on the mounting sur-
face!
The magnets can damage data storage units based on magnetic memory (diskettes,
magnet tapes, hard drives, etc). Make sure to keep adequate distance from such
data storage units.
