Start ironing the fabric that requires a lower temperature. This reduces the waiting times (the
iron takes less time to heat up than to cool down) and eliminates the risk of burning the fabric.
Steam ironing
Fill the iron as described in 'How to fill with water'.
1. Plug the appliance into the mains supply.
2. Place the iron vertically and adjust the temperature control dial (I) according to the
international symbols on the label of the piece of clothing. The temperature indicator light (G)
indicates that the iron is heating up. Wait until the temperature indicator light turns off before
ironing.
WARNING: the temperature indicator light (G) will turn on and off at intervals, indicating
that the selected temperature is maintained. If you lower the temperature after ironing
at a high temperature, do not start ironing until the temperature indicator light turns on
again.
3. The quantity of steam can be adjusted with the steam selector (D).
4. Turn the steam selector to a position between minimum and maximum depending on the
quantity of steam required and the selected temperature.
WARNING: the iron releases steam continuously only if you hold the iron horizontally. You
can stop the continuous steam flow by placing the iron in upright position or by turning
the steam selector to "0FF" position. As indicated on the temperature control dial (I) and
in the initial table, you can only use steam at the highest temperatures. If the selected
temperature is too low, water may drip from the soleplate.
Dry ironing
Fill the iron as described in 'How to fill with water'.
