11. Remote control

Cable-free operation is provided by a remote transmitter (see fig. 13).
Remote transmitters send the commands for adjusting the unit with
the aid of fixed frequencies, cable-free. There is a matching receiver
station for the transmitter (fig. 18/p. 33). The receiver station can be
placed anywhere under the Box and is connected directly to the motor
in the jack for the control technology (6-pin plug). If two motor-driven

BOXSPRING units are used in the same room with a remote control
(e.g. double bed), the receiver on one bed side must be trained. It is
also possible to use the Dual-Port synchronous cable 6P. With this unit
both bed sides can be adjusted at the same time with one of the two
hand transmitters.
11.1 Operating two bed sides with 1 remote hand transmitter
Remove the receiver plug from 1 bed side, press the small button on
the receiver, hold it down, and reinsert the plug. Now the lamp in the
receiver blinks. Press any button on the transmitter, the lamp stops
blinking, both bed sides are now operated using this one transmitter.

The drive of your motor-driven BOXSPRING bed must not
be disposed of with household waste!
The batteries must not be disposed of with household waste!
CAUTION
The remote control is not covered by TÜV-GS certifi-
cation (German Technical Inspection Authority)! Cer-
tain functions which are not visible to the user can be
activated using the remote control - that is why GS
certification is not available here.

11.2 Setting up

Insert the receiver plug in the motor, ensure the cable is protected
against strain (fig. 4/p. 24, also see Assembly Instructions), if
necessary fix the receiver firmly under the Box. Please remove the
contact protection in the battery compartment of the hand transmitter
by pulling on the small synthetic tab (fig. 15/p. 32). Now you can
adjust the back and foot sections of your Boxspring bed using the
motor.
If 2 bed sides are to be adjusted with one hand transmitter, please
train the receiver on one bed to the transmitter - see paragraph 11.1.
11.3 Night-Light (only by remote control)
The remote receiver is fitted with an LED lamp, which can be used as a
lamp for orientation, etc. In order to switch the Night-Light on and off,
press buttons 5+6 simultaneously, fig. 16.

11.4 Smart phone app control (only by remote control)

The remote control receiver makes it possible to operate the unit with
a smart phone. To do so, access the control app via the QR code.

Web information for accessing app. One receiver can only be connected
to one smart phone. If 2 hülstaflex premiums are to be operated with 1
smart phone, the Dual-Port synchronous cable 6P must be used.

11.5 Emergency lowering

In the case of a power cut or if the drive system is defective, the
adjustable sections of the bed can be set to the 0 position using the
mechanical emergency lowering method - see here paragraph 2.3.2. If
only the hand transmitter is defective - or cannot be found temporarily,
the adjustable sections can be lowered and set to the 0 position by
pressing the small button on the receiver. Fig. 17.
