4. INSTALLATION
INSTRUCTIONS FOR
SIZES 0962-1826
1. Remove the drafthood, if present. The standard
indoor jacket top and the standard indoor flue
collector will be used.
2. Fit the deflector plate assembly through the flue
collar so it hangs below the flue collar, parallel to
the long axis of the heater, as shown in Figure
9. Attach it to the flue collar with the four (4) #10
screws provided.
3. Locate the plenum assembly to the jacket top,
using the silicone sealant and screws provided.
Use a #28 drill (.1405") to drill the eight (8) holes
needed for the mounting screws. The assembly will
be positioned towards the rear of the heater. Note
that the main housing is centered on the flue collar
of the unit. The discharge collar is offset from that.
See Table C for dimensions. Once the screw holes
have been drilled, run a bead of silicone sealant
around the perimeter of the joint and screw the
housing into place.

4. Attach the fluted flue collar to the barometric
damper and push the collar into place in the plenum
opening that does not include a fluted collar. Orient
the collar to line up the screw holes and screw the
damper into place.
5. Run a bead of silicone sealant around the perimeter
of the top of the plenum, and attach the top panel
using the screws provided.
6. Identify and lay out the conduit-enclosed wiring
harnesses per the orientation drawing, Figure 7.
Units in this size range use the following
harnesses:
HARNESS 4: 120V from the 2-pole switch to the
9-pin socket of HARNESS 6A, inside the J-box.
HARNESS 5: 24V from HARNESS 6B to J-box
wiring components.
HARNESS 6: dual harness assy, connected by
an adapter plate at the J-box. Side 6A carries
120V from HARNESS 4 to the fan motor. Side
6B carries 24V from the J-box to the power vent
controls.
HARNESS 7: 120V from the ID control housing to
the fan motor.
