shop) in order to avoid any hazards.

Danger of Injury

■ Keep children and animals away from the device and packaging material. There is a
risk of injury and suffocation!
■ Do not use the device if it is damaged.
■ If the battery has leaked, do not allow your skin, eyes and mucous membranes to
come into contact with the battery acid. If you touch battery acid, rinse the affected
sites with abundant fresh water immediately and contact a doctor as soon as pos-
sible.

Danger of Electric Shock

■ Use and store the device only in closed rooms. Do not operate the device in rooms
with high humidity.
■ Never touch the motor unit, the mains adapter or the mains cable with wet hands.
■ Keep the motor unit, the mains adapter and the mains cable away from moisture or
wet conditions!
■ Connect the mains adapter only to a plug socket whose mains voltage corresponds
to the data on the rating plate. The plug socket must still be accessible after the con-
nection has been made. Only use suitable extension cables whose technical data is
the same as that of the mains adapter.
■ Make sure that the mains cable is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and
does not come into contact with hot surfaces. Do not wrap the mains cable around
the mains adapter.
■ Remove the mains adapter from the plug socket in the event of a thunderstorm.
■ When you pull it out of the plug socket, always pull on the mains adapter and never
the mains cable!
■ Always check the device and accessories for damage before putting them into oper-
ation. Do not use them if they are damaged!
■ In the event of damage / faults (e.g. unusual noises, odour or smoke development),
or if the device has been dropped, switch off the device. Have the device checked in
a specialist workshop before using it again.

Danger of Fire

■ Do not use the device in rooms containing easily ignitable, poisonous or explosive
substances.
■ Do not operate the device on hot surfaces or close to a naked fl ame.
■ Do not cover the device during operation in order to prevent the device from over-
heating. Do not insert anything into the nozzle / ventilation openings of the device
and make sure that these do not become clogged.
