Cadillac XT4 Splash Guard - Rear

Description
Left Hand Splash Guard
Right Hand Splash Guard
M4.2 x 25 Screw
M4.2 U-nut
Rear Installation Procedure
Note: Do not use power tools to install splash guard fasteners
1. Remove tire.
2. Clean and degrease body panel where splash guards are to
be located.
3. Remove existing screws at location (A) and (B). See figure 1.
4. Fold living hinge closed and while holding it closed place
splash guard to vehicle taking care to remove any gaps and
install supplied M4.2 x 25 screws at locations (A) and (B). See
figures 2 and 3.
5. While pulling outboard edge rearward and upward to remove
any gaps, mark reference hole at location (C). NOTE: Do not
drill at marked reference hole (C). See figures 4 and 5.
6. Remove splash guard from vehicle and measure 5/16" (8mm)
from front edge of fascia flange. Align measurement to marked
reference hole. Mark new hole location (D). See figure 6.
7. Drill a 13/64" (5.0 mm) hole at location (D). Take care not to
drill into hands-free module (driver side only when present).
See figure 6.
8. Place supplied U-Nut onto fascia at newly drilled hole location
(D). Align U-Nut with an awl to ensure the U-Nut is centered to
the hole. See figure 7.
9. Position splash guard to vehicle ensuring a tight fit to the
fascia along the top and rearward edge and reinstall by
repeating figures 2 and 3.
10. Hold splash guard to vehicle to remove any gaps and install
supplied M4.2 x 25 at location (D). See figure 8.
11. Repeat for other side.
12. Guards can be cleaned with any commercially available
cleaner.
NOTE: Max torque on M4.2 Screw is 3.0 N m
