7. Initial Use

Before using the appliance:
▪
Ensure that all packaging materials have been removed.
▪
Clean the appliance with warm water and household detergent and dry carefully with a soft cloth.
▪
Ensure that the propane gas supply is connected and turned on.
▪
In the event of a gas smell turn off at gas and contact supplier.
▪
Ensure that the appliance is connected to the 12V DC battery for the spark ignition
▪
Ensure that the pan supports are positioned properly. (Position and turn anti-clockwise)
▪
Ignite the gas burners and let them burn to expel odors and vapors first.
8. Use of burners
CONTROL POSITIONS
For the exact location of the control knobs, see Main Components.
The burners on this appliance have fixed aeration and no adjustment is required.
The burners should flame as follows: -
Propane - The flames should burn quietly with a blue/green colour with no sign of yellow tips.
Top cover (glass lid) MUST be open when burners are in operation
Turning ON:

Push and turn the control knob.
▪
Turn the control knob anti-clockwise to the full rate position. (HI-LITE)
▪
Pushing the knob initiates the spark ignition (Or in event of power failure light by a match/taper held to
the burners)
▪
Keep the control knob pressed for about 10-15 seconds and then release it.
▪
Adjust the height of the flame.
▪
For simmering, turn the knob further anti-clockwise to the 'LO' position.
If the burner accidentally extinguishes turn the control knob to the 'OFF' position
and wait at least 1 minute before re-igniting the burner.
If the burner has not lit within 15 seconds turn the control knob back to the 'OFF'
position and release it. Wait at least 1 minute and repeat the steps above to turn
on the appliance.
