6. Close the compartment and tighten the screw.
7. Return the microscope to its position.
8. Replace the flex on the microscope and plug into the mains socket.
9. Spare 6 V / 20 W light bulb.

5.6 Changing the fuse

Should the light fail to work even after changing the bulb, the fuse may need to
be changed (spare fuse supplied).
This operation should be carried out by a qualified person (e.g.
maintenance technician) and after the microscope has been disconnected
from the mains electricity supply.
To access the fuse, unscrew the 4 screws in the plate on the bottom of the
microscope.
Replace the defective fuse in the electronics chart with a new fuse.
Spare fuse: preferably use time-lag fuse, 250 mA, 250 V, 5 mm diameter, 20
mm long.
Only use approved fuses.
