1.
Remove the battery earth cable.
Remove side covering in the back of the car and open the entrance to the rearlight units.
2.
Drill a 13mm hole just behind the sockedplate of the towbar, or use an existing rubber grommet.
Remove carefully all metal particles around the hole and treat it with anti-rust paint.
Fit the rubber grommet in the hole.
3.
Route the wiringharness in the boot and lead the 8-pole end through the hole to the socket.
Pull the coverplate over the harness.
Remove the contactholder from the socket and fit the wires as follows:
Trailer lighting:
Left turn signal
Rearfoglight
Earth
Right turn signal
Right taillight
Brakelights
Left taillight
Rearfoglight
The other end of the wiringharness is to be connected as follows:
4.
Connectors can be found to the taillights.
Demount those connectors and connect the end of the wiringharness with the green and brown wires to the corresponding connectors on the
right side.
Do the same with the other end of the wiringharness on the left side.
Fit the connectors with the supplied wire ties.
Fit the white wire to Earth.
5.
Reconnect the battery and check all electrical functions, with trailer/caravan connected.
Reinstall disassembled parts.
