Minilux Control, 36-080
Use
The Minilux 36-080 light control is designed for fitting in boards
on DIN rails. This includes light sensor 43-197 for indoor lighting
control or light sensor 43-198 for outdoor lighting control, which
measures the current daylight level, as well as motion detector
for example 41-262, for presence detection.
The Minilux 36-080 enables the user to choose between two
basic applications.
• Indoor application (Factory setting)
• Outdoor application
Areas where Indoor application is suitable.
- Canteens
- Offices
- Corridors
- Day/night switch
Areas where Outdoor application is suitable.
- Car parks
- Multi-storey car park
- Concourses
Function
Indoor application:
Automatic on/off via motion detector – daylight-dependent
External light sensor is used, light level has 1st priority.
Automatic on/off via motion detector, daylight-dependent. The
light is switched on automatically when the motion detector
detects activity in the coverage area and the light level is below
the preset level (Lux on). The light is switched off after a preset
period when detection of movement in the detectors coverage
area has stopped or the light level is above the preset level. Fig. 1.
For use with several motion detectors. Fig. 5.
Manual function:
On/off via push-button, daylight-dependent.
Manual on and off via push-button, and automatic off via motion
detector or daylight. The light can be switched on via a push-
button when the light level is below the preset level.
The light switches off automatically after a preset period when
the motion detectors do not detect activity in the coverage area,
or when the light level is above the preset level.
The light can always be switched off via the switch. Fig. 2.

Manual function:
Switch on via push-button – regardless of daylight level
Automatic on/off via motion detector, daylight-dependent. The
light is switched on automatically when the motion detector
detects activity in the coverage area and the light level is below
the preset level. The light is switched off after a predetermined
period when detection of movement in the detectors coverage
area has stopped or the light level is above the preset level.
The light can always be switched on via the push-button,
regardless of daylight level. Fig. 3.
Manual function:
Switch off via the push-button (energy-saving).
If the light is switched off via the push-button, the motion
detector will not be able to switch on for 10 seconds, after
which the motion detector can once more switch on the light
automatically. Fig. 4.
Outdoor application:
Automatic on/off via motion detector, daylight-dependent.
Internal light sensor in motion detector is used, light level
has 2nd priority.
Automatic on/off via motion detector, daylight-dependent. The
light is switched on automatically when the motion detector
detects activity in the coverage area and the light level is below
the preset level. The light is then switched off after a preset
period when detection of movement in the detectors coverage
area has stopped. Fig. 6.
Automatic on/off via light sensor (43-198)
Automatic on/off via light sensor (day/night switch function)
The light automatically turns on when the measured outdoor light
level is below the preset level. The light automatically turns off
when the measured outdoor light level is above the preset level.
Fig. 8.
Note: As lux must have 1st priority the indoor (In) application
must be selected in the menu. Fig. 11D.
Automatic on/off via motion detector.
Light sensor is not used.
Automatic on/off via motion detector. The light is switched on
automatically when the motion detector detects activity in the
coverage area. The light is then switched off after a preset period
when detection of movement in the detectors coverage area has
stopped. Fig. 7.
Manual functions can also be used together with outdoor
application.
Common to both Indoor and Outdoor application:
The Minilux 36-080 Control switches on the light immediately
after a power failure for one minute, and during startup.
Test function:
Activate test function by pressing the test button. The lighting is
switched on for 5 seconds every time activity is detected from
the motion detectors (Walk test).
The test function is automatically deactivated after 5 min.
Indication of activated test function.Fig. 13.
