MAINTENANCE
1 . Before storing, inspect and clean the jack .
2 . Close the air vent on models with air vents .
3 . Store jack upright to protect the seals .
4 . Periodically lubricate the jack pump beam .
TROUBLESHOOTING
The following is intended as an aid in determining if a problem exists . DO NOT disassemble the
jack . For repair service, contact the Authorized Enerpac Service Center in your area .
Problem
Jack will not rise,
rises part way, or
rises in spurts .
Jack rises, but loses
pressure .
Plunger will not retract .
Possible Cause
Load is too heavy .
Release valve open .
Low fluid level .
Air in system .
Plunger binding .
Load is too heavy .
Plunger seal leaking .
No load on the plunger .
Release valve closed .
Air vent closed .
(on 75 and 150 Ton standard
and 35 Ton toe lift models)
Reservoir is over-filled .
Worn or damaged seals .
Plunger damage .
Do not attempt to lift more than rated capacity .
Close release valve .
Add fluid . See page 4 .
Remove air as directed on page 4 .
Have jack serviced by a qualified hydraulic technician .
Do not attempt to lift more than rated capacity .
Have jack serviced by a qualified hydraulic technician .
Put weight on the plunger to help it retract .
Open the release valve slowly . See "Lowering the Load" .
Open air vent valve .
With jack in the upright position and no load, remove fill
plug and allow oil to drain out of fill hole .
Have jack serviced by a qualified hydraulic technician .
Have jack serviced by a qualified hydraulic technician .
