Light railway turnout
The ROCO H0e industrial track programme shows
here (without motor) in diagramatic form the 24O
Section turnouts.
The arrangement of the sleepers on these points
is adequate to the H0e Works Railway Track (fle-
xible). The layout should only be built with this
Works Railway Track (flexible) No. 32201 and the
fishplates No. 22213 resp. with the fishplates for
isolating, No. 22214.
Note: We suggest the use of our flexible track in
order to get better conformity with the sleeper
setting.
All ROCO turnouts are live. Should for any reason
the drive motor have to be changed, the turnout
itself remains built into the layout. For example,
changing a hand operated point into an electrical
one.
Connection
Attention: In order to ensure reliable operation it
is recommended that the following hints be noted
whenlocating points.
1. The layout board must be absolutely level.
2. Make sure that there is no dust or other hin-
drance under the turnout.
3. Ensure that the point is not distorted when pin-
ned into position.
4. Ensure that track connections are clean and
even.
5. The wiring should be checked that it is correct.
6. Ensure that voltage supply from transformer
is adequate. It is extremely important that the

electrical turnout which are self-cancelling are
supplied with sufficient current, minimum 14-
16 V. If insufficient current is supplied to the
point, the self-cancelling cannot work and
therefore there is a danger of burning out the
point motor.
Fig. 2 shows how the steel wire spring in the drive
motor housing is connected to the tongued part of
the point. Before connecting to the point itself it is
essential to make sure that all is in working order.
This can be done by operating the point manually.
The electrical turnout can also be hand-operated.
Attention: The Gauge turnout require 14-16 volt
AC.
This is the AC voltage of ROCO transformers. The
ROCO Points Motors are self-cancelling. This me-
ans that the coil is automatically switched off after
movement of the turnout and therefore cannot
burn out, but the solenoid is automatically set for
the reverse movement.
Fig. 3 shows the connection of the electric points
motor with the impulse point switch No. 10520.
These switches can, according to the number of
points, be stacked together and then it is only
necessary to connect the transformer to the first
switch.
Safety instructions: This product may only be
used in closed rooms. Do not expose the product
to direct sunlight, severe temperature fluctuations
or high air humidity.
