( Also make sure during the usage of the various pneumatic tools connected to the compressor that the outlet pressure remains at 6.5 bars
minimum ).
It is of utmost importance to inspect the compressor feeding the filtering device and maintain it in good operating condition.
In fact, a compressor which is old, damaged, clogged, or with filters not regularly serviced is going to deliver very poor quality air which a filtering
device will not be able to purify during the maximum recommended lifetime.
CAUTION : Also monitor the compressor to assure it doesn't suck in through its suction inlet noxious materials and under no circumstances
vapors hazardous and even toxic to health, that is, mainly its own engine exhaust fumes.
A filtering device doesn't allow eliminating systematically either carbon monoxide ( CO ) or carbon dioxide ( CO
for this ). In addition, make sure the compressor isn't installed in an oxygen deficient area.
Connect the helmet to the filtering device via the compressed air feed tube. Use ONLY the feed tubes meeting the requirements stipulated in the
EN 14594 standard related to work with abrasive blastings. The tubes we supply for initial installation as well as extensions comply with the
requirements of the EN 14594 standard and have been certified for an in-service pressure of 10 bars.
5. USAGE :
Before starting to work, proceed as follows : (1) make sure the "eyepieces" are correctly positioned ( Fig. 6, Fig. 7 ) ; (2) open the compressed air
supply ; (3) place the hood on your head ; and (4) make sure the low air flow warning device indicator is well positioned within the appropriate air
flow range. If you note that the indicator remains in a low position ( Fig. 1), open slightly the air flow control cock located at the belt. If despite an
increase in the air flow into the hood the mobile device remains in a low position, remove the hood and proceed to search for the various possible
causes for the malfunctioning of the compressed air supply.
The causes may be due to : (1) a too low feed pressure of the system ; (2) a leak of any kind between the compressed air source and the hood ;
(3) an obstruction (clogging, etc.) of the system's various filtering devices ; (4) a possible icing due to an excess amount of humidity ; or (5) other
possible factors.
On the other hand, if the mobile device raises correctly and disappears from the field of view ( Fig. 2 ), this means the breathable air supply is
correct, and the work can therefore be started.
Now adjust laterally the headband and lining to your head size and form by using the "tighteners" located between the lining ( item A, Fig. 3)
and inside the hood shell at the ears level ( Fig. 3 ) by moving the clips/spring ( item C ) in the hooks ( item D) . You can also adjust the lining
position vertically in order to adjust the view through the eyepieces by using the suspension clips ( item B, Fig. 3 ).
In addition, make sure by "adjusting" the hood on your head that the inside neckband lining is correctly positioned around your neck and doesn't
rest on your shirt collar, because it could have for a consequence the limiting of the positive pressure necessary inside the hood. Tighten the belt
by correctly positioning the jumper in front and back. If the air supply should prove insufficient ( tube clogged, cut, etc. ), immediately leave the
work area and when outside take off the helmet. After repairing the breathable air circuit, proceed to visually inspect the components at the
location where the incident occurred. Immediately replace any defective part
( cut tube, clogged connection). Carefully check for any leaks and, if necessary, replace the defective parts.

6. AFTER USAGE :

After leaving the work area and when outside, loosen the belt, remove the helmet, disconnect the compressed air network feed tube. Clean and
blow the helmet dry with compressed air before visually inspecting the parts as described in the servicing subsection. CAUTION : Be careful when
connecting and disconnecting air connections that dusts, particles or liquids don't penetrate into the connections.
