UPKEEP
When cleaning the appliance, always make sure to disconnect
*
the power plug. Allow the appliance to cool before washing it.
Do not place the base, the cord or the plug into water. Do not let
any water penetrate into the kettle base.
Clean the kettle and the base using a damp cloth. If the kettle
*
is particularly dirty, a small amount of detergent may be added.
Do not use scouring pads, steel wool or any type of strong solvents
*
or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the appliance, as they may
damage its external surfaces.
Remove the scale filter by pressing the tab and pulling it towards
*
you, then clean it with the help of a brush. If the scale does not come
off, perform descaling as described in the «Descaling» paragraph.
Be careful never to remove the filter when the appliance contains
hot water. Replace the filter after cleaning it.
IMPORTANT! Allow the appliance to dry completely after cleaning
*
and before reusing it. Do not use the appliance if the base or the
underside of the appliance is wet.
Make sure that the appliance is clean and dry before storing it.

SCALE REMOVAL

Scale build-up increases progressively, the more you use
*
the appliance.
Descale your kettle regularly, about once per month.
*
Fill your kettle with white vinegar diluted in water (
*
allow it to react for two hours or longer, on cold.
Do the same with the filter, by soaking it in this mixture.
*
Rinse several times using tap water.
*
Your appliance is now ready to use.
*
Note: You can also use a descaler for coffee machines by following
the manufacturer's instructions.
Please note! The warranty does not cover non-functioning or
malfunctioning kettles due to non-performance of descaling.
