Witter AD42 Instructions De Montage

MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Bar
C 1 Centre Strut with European facing to 94/20/EC A50-1
D 2 M10x35x1.5mm Bolts, Lock Washers and Flat Washers (30mm O.D.)
E 1 Left hand Side Arm
F 1 Right Hand Side Arm
G 2 M12x40x1.75mm Bolts, Lock Washers and Flat Washers (40mm O.D.)
H 4 M12x40x1.75mm Bolts, Lock Washers and 2 Nuts
J 2 M16x50x2.0mm Bolts, Nuts and Lock Washers
CB 2 M16 x 50mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers
K 1 ZEP35 Electrical plate (not shown)
FITTING
1. Remove rear light clusters (plastic nut behind cover inside boot, gently pull clusters out sideways to remove from
plastic clips in body).
2. Remove bumper (2 screws under each light cluster, 4 screws on each bumper tip, 1 nut each side behind plastic
covers inside boot – Note: Use 'Blue Tack' or similar inside 10mm deep socket to prevent loosing nuts inside vehicle
panels when nuts removed – use same process when re-fitting. Also remove 2 screws on lower edge of bumper. Pull
bumper tips out sideways and pull bumper rearward).
3. Remove 1 screw from lower edge of wheel arch liner (into side of chassis) each side and remove tape covering
mounting points on outside face of chassis.
4. Insert Side Arms (E) and (F) into chassis rails and loosely attach using Bolts (D). Insert Cross Bar (A) into chassis and
loosely attach to chassis and Side Arms (E) and (F) using Bolts (G) and (H). Tighten Bolts.
Re-fit bumper. Attach Centre Strut (C) to Cross Bar (A) using Bolts (J). Tighten all Bolts.

Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm, M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
