6.7 Extracting condensation
The condensated water which accumulates due to the way the system
works is automatically extracted at intervals during operation. When the
float switch is triggered, the pump is activated for 60 seconds.
When the condensate pump is first started, it may run louder than usual.
At ambient temperatures below 0 °C, the condensate must be pumped out
of the system to prevent damage to it. Therefore, start the manual
extraction procedure when using the vehicle at temperatures below 0 °C.
You can pump out the condensated water manually when necessary:
➤ Switch off the system.
➤ Press and hold the + and - buttons (see fig. 15 on page 7, 6 and 7) at
the same time.
➤ Press the ON/OFF button as well until the pump starts.
Press the ON/OFF button to switch off the pump manually.
✓ The system starts pumping for 30 seconds and the digital display
shows
✓ The compressor and the fan do not switch on.
✓ The system switches off automatically.
Avoid pumping out the water too many times in succession. The pump can
be damaged if it runs dry (indicated by loud noise during extraction).
