The roof of the vehicle can be reinforced (e.g. with a wooden frame) if the
load-bearing capacity of the roof is insufficient.
➤ Position the roof air conditioner over the installation opening.
Observe the direction of travel.
5.2.6 Fastening the system
– see fig. 10 on page 6 –
➤ Mount the fastening frame with the self-locking nuts (4 x M8) and
washers (4 x M8) provided.
Tighten to the specified torque.
➤ Tighten the screws using a torque wrench and a fastening torque of
(3 Nm) 0.3 kg/m.
5.2.7 Installing the air outlet unit
When attaching the suction head of the air outlet unit, make sure that the
screws are tightened with due care, to avoid overwinding. Jerking and
dragging on the suction head must be avoided, as it could come loose
from the intake hose.
➤ Insert both plugs of the connection line (ribbon cable) between the
system and the air outlet unit into the socket on the control board (see
arrow, see fig. 11 on page 6).
➤ Connect the suction head to the air outlet unit. For this use the 6
countersunk screws provided (3.5 x 13) (see fig. 12 on page 6).
➤ Attach the air outlet unit to the fastening frame with the 4 self-tapping
screws (4.8 x 25) (see fig. 13 on page 7). At this point make sure that
the air outlet unit is fastened securely to the roof.
