Basic functions (continued)
Teaching in Two Point Mode
In Two Point Mode, first SP1 is taught as described for
Single Point Mode. The following additional steps are also
required:
4. Position the object in the capture range of the sensor
at the switching distance for Set Point SP2.
Note:
– SP2 must be further away from the sensor
than SP1.
– The hysteresis between SP1 and SP2 must
be greater than the standard hysteresis of
10%.
5. Use the system command SP2 Single Value Teach to
teach the desired point.

Additional teach functions
After teaching you can still make fine adjustments to the
taught switching distance. Similar to the final tightening of
conventional switches, the system commands Decrease
Setpoint and Increase Setpoint can be used to increase or
decrease the switching distance in increments of approx.
0.1...0.2 mm.
A teach-in can be canceled using Teach Cancel.
Reset the sensor to its factory default setting using Restore
Factory Settings. This resets all settings previously made
by the user, including switching logic and counter function.
