To prevent damage to the cables, when laying them ensure that there is
sufficient distance to hot vehicle components (lights, heaters, ventilators etc.).
Wrap insulating tape around every connection on the cable (even inside the
vehicle).
When laying the cables, make sure:
– They are not kinked or twisted
– They do not rub on edges
– They are not laid through sharp-edged ducts without protection (fig. 2,
page 3).
Caution!
Make sure the polarity is correct when connecting to a voltage source.
Using the cable connectors (fig. 3 3, page 3), connect the three loose ends of
the cable to the corresponding wires (fig. 8, page 5):
– Connect the red cable to terminal 15 (ignition).
– Connect the black cable to terminal 31 (earth).
– Connect the white cable to the speedometer signal wire.
Note
Our technical support (+49 2572 879-191) maintains a great deal of
vehicle-specific information for locating the speedometer signal wire.
Lay the connection cable on the dashboard.
Insert the plug of the connecting cable (fig. 9 1, page 5) into the socket of the
display (fig. 9 2, page 5).

Switching on the display

The display is switched to standby when you turn on the ignition.
All indicators light up for two seconds (fig. 0, page 5).
When you switch it on, the display tests all the LED segments. Then it switches
to display mode and shows the current travel speed.
