Fully charge the battery before you fi rst use it and after each ride. The maximum
charge time is around 5 hours, the fi rst charge takes around 10 hours. Charge the
battery at room temperature.
The battery can be charged in two ways: on the scooter directly or detached.
Charge the battery on the scooter
1. Place the scooter on a dry, even, fi rm and heat-resistant surface.
2. Make sure that the battery is switched off. The operating lamp on the rocker switch (k)
must not be lit. If it is lit up, press the rocker switch (k) on the battery pack (17) at the
back left to switch off the battery.
3. If you have not already done so, connect the mains cable to the mains adapter.
6. The mains plug should only be connected to a properly installed plug socket with
safety contacts. The (POWER) operating lamp and (CHARGE) charge control lamp for
the mains adapter light up red. Depending on the charge state of the battery, it takes
3 - 5 hours to charge.
7. The battery is fully charged when the (CHARGE) charge control lamp of the mains
adapter is lit green. Disconnect the mains plug from the mains power and pull the
small barrel connector out of the battery pack (17). The (POWER) operating lamp and
(CHARGE) charge control lamp for the mains adapter go out.
8. Close up the small barrel connector socket again with the protective lug (m).
Charge the battery pack detached from the scooter
The battery pack and scooter are connected to one another via the large barrel
connector socket (l) with a power cable. A locking catch prevents the large barrel
connector from becoming detached from the large barrel connector socket.
1. Make sure that the battery is switched off. The operating lamp on the rocker switch (k)
must not be lit. If it is lit up, press the rocker switch (k) on the battery pack (17) at the
back left to switch off the battery.
2. Pull the large barrel connector out of the battery pack (17):
– Pull the locking catch on the large barrel connector backwards,
– twist the large barrel connector anticlockwise a little and
– pull it out.
3. Open the lock for the battery pack (16) with the key and remove the battery pack (17).
To do this, pull it up from the middle of the scooter and remove it.

4. Open the protective lug for the small barrel connector
socket (m) on the battery pack (17).
5. Connect the small barrel connector from the mains
adapter to the small barrel connector socket (m) on the
battery pack (17).
