IMPORTANT SAFETY ADVICE:

Before using the FLAT-FIRE it must be checked
that the calibration of the electric current of the
device is compatible with the socket.
Basic safety precautions must be taken when
using electrical devices – especially when children
are around – including the following:
All the advice on safety should be read most ca-
refully before use in order to limit the risk of an
electric shock.
1) Unplug the device after using it.
2) The device must not be used in the bath, in the
shower, above a washbasin filled with water or
with wet hands.
3) Do not use the device near baths, washbasins or
other receptacles containing water.
4) The device must not be submerged into water
or other liquids.
5) Do not touch a device that has come into cont-
act with water – unplug it immediately.
Warning – to limit the risk of fire, death by electric
shock, fire or personal injury:
1) Never leave the device unsupervised when it
is switched on. Always wait until the device has
cooled off.
2) Great care is necessary when the device is
used with or for children or when children or disa-
bled persons are nearby.

which it is not intended.

frequently
for
damage,
especially to the points at which the ca-
ble is joined to the device and the plug.
If in doubt have the device checked by an authori-
sed repair workshop.
6) If the device is not functioning correctly, has
been dropped or damaged, or has fallen into wa-
ter – do not try to open the device yourself, but
take it to a customer service point.
7) The device is hot when it is being used – do
not allow it to come into contact with bare skin.
Do not touch the heating plates with your finger-
tips. When treating shorter hair put a thin plastic
comb between the hair and the scalp to prevent
the device from touching the scalp.
8) Do not wind the service cable around the de-
vice – leave it extended.
9) If the device's mains connection cable is da-
maged it must, in order to avoid danger, be repla-
ced by the manufacturer or its customer service
provider or by some similarly qualified person.
10) If the device is used in a bathroom it must be
unplugged after use because the proximity of wa-
ter constitutes a danger, even when the device is
switched off.
11) As an additional protection we recommend
the installation in the bathroom wiring system of
a residual current circuit breaker (FI) with a rated
tripping cur-rent of not more than 30 mA (Milliam-
peres). Ask your plumber for advice.
12) People (including children) who are not in a
position to use the device safely because of their
physical, sensory or intellectual capabilities or
because of their lack of experience or knowledge
should not use this device without supervision or
instruction by a responsible person.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the device.
WARNING: Do not use this device near baths,
washbasins or other receptacles that contain
water.
