Possible cause/solution
• Is the plug inserted in the mains socket correctly?
• Is the plug socket defective? Try another plug socket.
• Check the fuse of your mains connection.
• When the device is fi rst used: Any coating residues
that may remain may result in a small amount of odour
or smoke development. This is nothing unusual and
does not impair the safety of the device. Allow the
device to heat up while empty for approx. 10 minutes
at 220°C (see the "Use" chapter). During this time,
make sure the room is well ventilated, e.g. with wide-
open windows!
• The device has already been used: Are the grill plates
dirty? Follow the instructions in the "Cleaning and
Storage" chapter.
