Electrostatic discharges can result in the touch screen malfunctioning.

Locking and unlocking the touch screen

Lock the G Watch R's touch screen and prevent unwanted operations when not in use by pressing the Power
button or covering the screen with the palm of your hand. The touch screen locks automatically if it is inactive
for a period of time.
With the watch face displayed, lock the touch screen by pressing the Power button or covering the display

with the palm of your hand.
With the G Watch R touch screen locked, unlock it by tapping the screen or pressing the Power button.
