5. Device Setup and Connection

Mounting the colour wheel
Loosen the fixing nut (8) and the first safety washer (9) from the attachment axis of
the gear motor (5). Remove the protective foil from the colour screen (7) and plug it
onto the attachment axis of the motor. Put the safety washer (9) on top and fasten
the fixing nut (8). Please take care not to damage the colour screen when fastening
the nut. Now place the fixing for the gear motor (6) on the rim of the point projector
and screw it to the projector.
Mounting the projector
Caution Fire Hazard:
When installing the projector observe a distance of 50 cm to easi-
ly flammable materials (decorative fabrics etc.).
Choose a suitable mounting location for the point projector and check the carrying
capacity of the surface. Mounting of the point projector to the ceiling or traverse sys-
tem is made via the fastening strap (2). Please note that when mounting above head
the projector must be secured by an appropriate safety rope with screwed carbine.
After you have screwed the fastening strap to the surface roughly adjust the inclina-
tion angle of the point projector. Make sure that the rotation of the colour screen is
not obstructed or slowed down by any fixed objects or decorative parts.
Mounting the mirror ball motor
Choose a suitable supporting location also for the mirror ball (12). Reliable operation
requires the mirror ball motor (10) to be mounted in absolute horizontal position. Ball
and motor must be installed outside the reachable area of persons. Now screw the
mirror ball motor (10) to the surface using three fitting screws (11). The motor fasten-
ing must be made such that it is capable of supporting at least five times the required

weight. After having checked the safety of the fastening, hang the supplied chain into
the key ring of the mirror ball motor and the mirror ball. Make sure that the rotation of
the mirror ball is not slowed down by fixed parts or decorative parts. The mirror ball
including motor must be secured using an appropriate safety cable in the chain or via
a safety net.

6. Taking into Service

Connect the earthed plug of the gear motors to a 230 V~ socket outlet and check the
correct function of the devices. To obtain the best possible light effect you must
direct the point projector directly towards the mirror ball. Afterwards tighten the fas-
tening screws at the fastening strap.

7. Maintenance and Care

Pull the mains cord before cleaning the devices. During cleaning
make sure that the area below the devices is blocked off.
To clean the devices from the outside use a soft, dry cloth or paint brush. Do not use
aggressive cleaning agents which could damage the surface of the device enclo-
sures.

8. Replacing the Lighting Agent

Before replacing the lighting agent give the point projector time to cool down
and disconnect it from the mains (pull mains cord).
Exact information on how to handle lighting agents can be obtained from the instruc-
tions of the manufacturer of the lighting agent.
- Use a Par 36 lighting agent with 6 volts and 30 watts (6V / 30W) for replacement.
- Now detach the gear motor from the point projector.
- Now squeeze together the locking ring which secures the lighting agent and take it
out of the point projector enclosure.
- You can now remove the defective light bulb carefully to the front out of the enclo-
sure.
- By means of a screwdriver loosen the two screws of the electric connection wires
at the light bulb.
- Reconnect the new light bulb to the electrical terminals by tightening the screws
properly to ensure good conduction of the contacts.
