Additionally to the installation instructions in the user manual of IPC427E the following specifications must be observed for
installation in hazardous locations. If there are differences between the user manual and this product information (PI) the
statements in the PI have higher priority.
Standards: EN 60079-0 : 2012 + A11 : 2013, EN 60079-15 : 2010, IEC 60079-0 :2011 (Ed.6), + Corr.1. 2012 + Corr.2. 2013,
IEC 60079-15 : 2010 (Ed. 4)
Specific conditions of use (for ATEX):
● The modules shall be installed in a suitable enclosure providing a degree of protection of at least IP54 according to EN
60079-15, taking into account the environmental conditions under which the equipment will be used.
● Provisions shall be made to prevent the rated voltage from being exceeded by transient disturbances of more than
119 V.
Specific conditions of use (for IECEx):
● The equipment shall only be used in an area of not more than pollution degree 2, as defined in IEC 60664-1.
● The modules shall be installed in a suitable enclosure providing a degree of protection of at least IP54 according to IEC
60079-15, taking into account the environmental conditions under which the equipment will be used .
