5. First Time Use

Your datAshur BT drive has been provisioned and set up by your Administrator so that it can be 'managed remotely' and
as such you will have received an email sent by your Administrator containing your datAshur BT Managed App 'Account
Username' and 'Temporary Password'.
The datAshur BT ships with a default 'drive Password' of 11223344 and although it can be used straight out of the box
with the default drive Password,
immediately by following the instructions under section 7 'How to change the drive Password'.
NOTE: Your Administrator can change your default drive Password, if this has been done, please use your new drive
password supplied to you instead of 11223344.
Once you have installed the datAshur BT Managed App (Android or iOS - see section 4), follow the steps in the table below
to pair your drive to the App and unlock with the default drive Password.
First Time Use
1. Refer to the email from your Administrator containing your (App) Account Username and Temporary Password.
2. Plug your the datAshur BT drive to a powered USB port.
3. Open the datAshur BT Managed App and enter your
Account Username and Temporary Password as received by email
from your administrator and tap Login.
4. Change your Account Temporary Password to your own
Unique Password.
Enter your 'Temporary Password' then enter your
'New Password' and 'Confirm Password' and finally tap 'Change
Password'.
5. Tap on the RED padlock ( ), then enter your default drive Password
(11223344) and tap the padlock to unlock.

Note: If your Administrator has changed the default drive Password, please use
the Admin supplied password instead of 11223344.
You may also need to format your drive if not previously formatted by your
Administrator, refer to section 18 (Windows) or section 19 (mac OS).
