INSTRUCTIONS
The PACKOUT™ Racking System can be installed for vehicle or shop use.
READ ALL SAFETY WARNINGS, INSTRUCTIONS,
WARNING
ILLUSTRATIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS PROVIDED
WITH THIS PRODUCT. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may
result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. SAVE THESE INSTRUC-
TIONS - THIS OPERATOR'S MANUAL CONTAINS IMPORTANT
SAFETY AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS.
• To reduce the risk of injury when used in a vehicle, the base should
be installed according to vehicle manufacturer's instructions by a
qualified technician. Drilling holes in certain structural areas can com-
promise the safety of the vehicle. A bulkhead must be properly installed
between the PACKOUT™ and the occupant to provide protection.
• Use only fasteners recommended in the installation instructions. Do
not use other fasteners, such as self-tapping or drywall screws.
• Do not exceed maximum loading capacity (see Specifications).
Overloading can cause racking system to come loose and break free,
resulting in injury and product damage.
• Inspect the racking system and all fasteners periodically and replace
immediately if cracked, worn, or damaged. Do not attempt to fix or
mend damaged racking system or fasteners.
• If a loaded racking system has received an impact or is involved
in an accident, MILWAUKEE recommends you replace the racking
system and mounting fasteners before future use.
• Tighten shoring screws to reduce rattling in a moving vehicle.
• Ensure PACKOUT™ is secured before vehicle is in motion. Do not
use, adjust or modify PACKOUT™ while vehicle is in motion.
• Use cam-lock style straps for on-vehicle applications. Ratchet straps
can result in over tightening and product damage.
• When strapping to holes on the shelf do not use straps with hooks.
• Only use with PACKOUT™ products that can be locked directly to
the racking system.
• Use E-tracks to mount PACKOUT™ racking system. The racking
system is not compatible with X-Tracks.Using X-Tracks can result in
warping PACKOUT™ racking system.
• Always use common sense and be cautious when using and install-
ing racking system. It is not possible to anticipate every situation that
could result in a dangerous outcome. Do not use this product if you do
not understand these instructions or you feel the work is beyond your
capability; contact Milwaukee Tool or a trained professional for additional
information or training.

ASSEMBLY
Use E-tracks to mount PACKOUT™ racking system.
WARNING
The racking system is not compatible with X-Tracks.
Using X-Tracks can result in warping PACKOUT™ racking system.
Mounting Metal Arms to Racking System
1. Place the racking system on a flat surface bottom side facing up.
2. Metal arms should have the shoring screws on the top with the tabs on
the bottom when attaching to the racking system.

3. Insert both metal arms.
4. Install bolts and tighten until seated. Do not over torque.
Mounting Racking System to E-track
1. Release the shoring screws.
2. Line up the metal arms on the racking system with the E-Track.
3. Push buttons down on both sides.
4. Tilt shelf and insert top hooks into E-Track.
5. Tilt shelf down to align bottom hooks.
6. Lower shelf into place and release buttons.
7. Tighten shoring screws to reduce ability to rattle.
NOTE: Periodically check that screws are tight.
Removing Racking System from E-track
1. Push buttons down.
2. Lift shelf up to release bottom hooks.
3. Tilt bottom away from E-Track.
4. Pull shelf away from E-Track.

Installing E-Track for Racking System
1. Hold first E-Track up to the wall so that the holes closest to the edge are
on bottom (shown in image below). Add screw to top left corner and run
in enough so E-Track is held up but can still rotate.
2. Use level to ensure E-Track is straight vertically.
3. Add screw to bottom left corner of E-Track.
4. Install right side of shelves to top and bottom E-Track pockets on second
length of E-Track.
5. Connect left side of shelves to top and bottom E-Track pockets in the
first piece of E-Track on wall.

6. Use a level to align second E-Track section.
7. Screw in the top right corner and bottom left corner of second length
of E-Track.
8. Screw in remaining fasteners per location recommendation (vehicle
or in-shop).
9. Tighten initial fasteners.
ON-VEHICLE E-TRACK
MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
To reduce the risk of injury when used in a vehicle, the

structural areas can compromise the safety of the vehicle. A bulkhead must
be properly installed between the PACKOUT™ and the occupant to provide
protection.
Use cam-lock style straps for on-vehicle applications. Ratchet straps
can result in over tightening and product damage.
Only use with PACKOUT™ products that can be locked directly to
the racking system.
Tighten shoring screws to reduce rattling in a moving vehicle.
E-track must be installed on flat, smooth walls or floors. Uneven surfaces
could cause the racking system to warp, resulting in possible problems
when installing PACKOUT™ products.
Use the below recommended fasteners in ALL ten indicated locations.
Installing Into Wood
• Install onto dimensional lumber (2x4 or larger) or 3/4" thick plywood
• Use ten minimum Ø 1/4" x 1" lag screws with washers per E-Track (Twenty
per pair of E-Tracks)
• Start at top, install one lag screw every 4" down on each E-Track
Installing Into Sheet Metal
• Install onto minimum 22 gauge sheet metal
• Use ten Ø 1/4"-20 threaded inserts such as screw-to-install rivet nuts
(jack nuts) and Ø 1/4"-20 socket headed cap screws per E-Track
(Twenty per pair of E-Tracks)
• Use medium strength (blue) liquid threadlocker
IN-SHOP E-TRACK MOUNTING
INSTRUCTIONS
E-track must be installed on a flat, even surface. An uneven surface could
cause the racking system to warp, resulting in possible problems when
installing PACKOUT™ products.
Use the below recommended fasteners in AT LEAST six holes. If studs do
not align with racking system spacing add plywood or dimensional lumber
to support racking system.
Installing Into Wood
• Install onto dimensional lumber (2x4 or larger) or 3/4" thick plywood
• Use six minimum Ø 1/4" x 1" lag screws with washers per E-Track
(Twelve per pair of E-Tracks)
• Start at top, install one lag screw every 8" down on each E-Track
Installing Into Concrete
• Use six minimum suitable concrete anchors

• Afin de minimiser le risque de blessures lors de l'utilisation de ce
produit sur un véhicule, la mise en place de la base doit être effectuée
par un technicien qualifié d'après les instructions du fabricant. Les
trous de perçage faits dans certains espaces structurels pourront com-
promettre la sécurité du véhicule. Il faut installer correctement une cloison
afin qu'il y ait une protection entre le produit PACKOUT™ et le passager.
• Utiliser uniquement les éléments de fixation recommandés dans les
consignes d'installation. Ne pas utiliser d'autres éléments de fixation,
tels que les vis autotaradeuses et à placoplâtre.
• Ne pas surpasser la capacité de charge maximale (voir la section
« Fiche technique »). La surcharge peut causer que la plaque de montage
se lâche et se libère, ce qui entraînera de blessures ou des dommages
dans le produit.
• Inspecter fréquemment le système de rayonnage et tous les éléments
de fixation et remplacer immédiatement tout ce qui montre signes
de fissure, d'usure et de dommages. Ne pas essayer de réparer ou
corriger les plaques de montages ni les éléments de fixation endommagés.
• Si un système de rayonnage chargé a subi un impact ou a fait partie d'un
accident, MILWAUKEE recommande de remplacer le système de ray-
onnage et les éléments de montage avant de l'utiliser ultérieurement.
• Serrer les vis d'étayage pour minimiser qu'ils se bousculent quand
le véhicule est en mouvement.
• S'assurer que le produit PACKOUT™ est fixe avant de mettre le
véhicule en mouvement. Ne pas utiliser, ajuster ni modifier le produit
PACKOUT™ lorsque le véhicule est en mouvement.
• Utiliser les sangles à came de serrure pour des applications vé-
hiculaires. Les sangles à cliquet pourront mener une surtension et des
dommages dans le produit.
• Ne pas utiliser de sangles à crochet pour une fixation aux trous de
l'étagère.
• Utiliser ce produit uniquement avec les produits PACKOUT™ qui
puissent être verrouillés directement sur le système de rayonnage.
• Utiliser des rails « E » pour monter un système de rayonnage
PACKOUT™. Le système de rayonnage n'est pas compatible avec les
rails « X ». L'usage des rails « X » pourra causer que le système de
rayonnage PACKOUT™ se déforme.
•Toujours faire preuve de bons sens et procéder avec prudence lors de
la mise en place du système de rayonnage. C'est impossible de prévoir
toutes les situations dont le résultat est dangereux. Ne pas utiliser cet outil
si vous ne comprenez pas ces instructions d'opération ou si vous pensez

AVERTISSEMENT

1. Mettre le système de rayonnage sur une surface plate, en mettant le
côté bas vers le haut.
2. Les bras en métal doivent comporter les vis d'étayage dans la partie
haute et les onglets dans la partie basse au moment de les attacher au
système de rayonnage.

3. Insérer les deux bras en métal.
4. Mettre en place les boulons et serrer jusqu'au fond. Ne pas le serrer
excessivement.
