6.1 OFFICE, FLUSHFITTING OR WEATHERPROOF STATIONS
• Keep the button pushed down throughout the duration of the transmission.
• Speak into the microphone from about 10cm in a normal tone (ST5 on N).
As soon as the button is released this transfers to listening mode.
6.2 EXPLOSIONPROOF STATIONS
With this type of station, the user should speak slightly nearer to the microphone.
Same mode of operation as the other types of station.
6.3 STATIONS WITH POWER EXTENSION
A public address box linked to the station powers a group of loudspeakers enabling a voice call to
cover a fairly wide area.
The loudspeaker integrated within the station itself enable the operator, when in front of the
station, to continue the communication easily.
Public address boxes can be either weatherproof or explosionproof.
6.4 ADDITIONAL LOUDSPEAKER CONNECTED TO A STATION
A loudspeaker with or without built-in amplifier can be connected in parallel to the loudspeaker
in the station.
The loudspeaker without amplifier (Z# 16 ohms) is connected to terminal 2 (HP) on the card
WK234U2GC in the station.
The loudspeaker with amplifier is connected to terminals +/-48V (stations and loudspeakers) and
terminal 2 (HP) on the card WK234U2GC in the station.
6.5 SETTINGS AND CONTROLS
It is necessary to set the sound received on each of the stations, subject to the level of ambient
noise and the location where used (enclosed or external area for example).
• To do this, set the adjustment potentiometer « R31 » on the motherboard in the station
(and on the power extension amplifier or the amplifier in the additional loudspeaker).
• For office station, adjustment is on the motherboard and on the knob on the face plate.
NB : Do not forget to turn the power off before undertaking any maintenance work, in particular
to take out or put back a printed circuit.
