• It is thus possible to power each station locally using a power supply 230VAC/48VDC 1A :
Ø weatherproof type BAT376E1A48 or
Ø explosionproof type BAT226A1A48
It is equally possible to mix the two, with several power supplies distributed on the lines.
• In the case of central power supply, maximum lengths of power bus are as follows :
1° Star cabling : one pair from the central power supply to each station
copper pair 0.6mm
copper pair 0.9mm
2° For bus cabling (one cable for several stations) :
divide the maximum distance by the number of stations.
3.2 DESCRIPTION OF CENTRAL JUNCTION-BOX BDV 376 E1 P12CF
This box fulfils two functions :
1) Equipped with 600 ohms resistance, it enables the network to be charged and therefore to
maintain its impedance level.
This function is carried out by jumpers ST1 for networks cabled xith a single pair or ST1 –
ST2 for networks cabled with two pairs. In the case where the network is equipped with
several boxes for connection purposes ; only one of them needs to be charged.
Conversely, if there is a very small network not equipped with this box, do not forget to
connect a 600 ohms resistance on the master station connector.
2) Equipped with 10 detachable connectors for substations, it enables easily up to 11 stations to
be connected in star configuration or x stations by means of 1-10 bus or star circuits, xith or
without central power.
