UNIVERSAL CONFERENCE NETWORK « UNI2GC »
2.1 NETWORK CAPABILITIES
The network enables the user, from any one station, to communicate with the others.
The stations can be of the weatherproof, flameproof, office or flushfitting type.
Certain stations can be equipped with an external public address box providing a power
extension.
Amplifiers used with the network can be of 2 sorts :
• The 5W or 15W model for the stations according to the version
• The 50W model for the power extensions.
A power supply box linked to the alternative network provides 48VDC ±10% for all stations or
for each individual station (in the case of « long line » connections).
3.1 GENERAL CABLING METHOD
3.1.1 SPEECH
The speech line (2 or 4 wires) cabled in bus or star can reach 5 Km and more, on a screened 6/10
copper pair, depending on configuration.
NOTE : The telephony pair of the network must be powered to 600 ohms. To do this, jumper
« ST3 » on motherboard WK234U2GC must be set to position 2 on one of the stations
in the network.
3.1.2 POWER SUPPLY
• The entire system is powered with regulated 48VDC (factory test). In the case of 24 V, ST4
must be remove ; the system capabilities are maintained except the output volume which is
reduced on the card WK234U2G.
Consumption levels :
In rest : 0.05A
5 W station 0,2A
15 W station 0,5A
Loudspeaker in parallel on 1 station 0.5A extra.
