The AP100 is a universal surveyor for
the following applications:
_ Surveying models
_ Marking undercuts
_ Carving wax components
_ Positioning precision attachments
_ Transferring milled and attachment
components
_ Blocking out - When used with the
AP100 Block-out set
The magnetizable base plate in the base enables
the model platform to be fixed in place by simply
pressing a button. The AP100 also includes an
electric controller for heating the blocking out
components. The patented locking mechanism
of the hinged arm locks the two hinges exactly
and firmly with a screw. The centering wedge
on the setting ring can be used to swivel the
rigid arm outwards when, for example, chan-
ging instruments. When swivelled back, the
hinged arm resumes its previous position
exactly. Special bearings enable the hinged
arm and surveying head to move very smoothly.
The level of the surveying head can be adjusted.
An MT2 model platform is supplied with the
unit. The MT2 can be tilted by up to 90° in all
directions and fixed in any position. The "zero
degrees" position can be reproduced with a
locking mechanism. The AP100 block-out set
can be used with the AP100 for blocking out.
This set comprises a B2 Blockout holder, 5
gold-plated tips and an adapter cable.
The AP100 can also be equipped with a milling
head and an adjustable Halogenlamp.

Place the setting ring
!
(pointing upwards) over the pillar and tighten
them. Place the hinged arm
of the base, making certain to position it parallel
and without wedging it. Loosen the spring bolt in
the milling head, rotate it through 180° and
re-attach it. Insert the surveying head
milling head
into the hinged arm and tighten
%
it with the screw
. This screw is also used for
^
setting the basic level of the surveying head.
The surveying head is tightened with the knurled
nut
, for example, for placing an attachment.
