User

This device may be used by persons (including children over 8 years of age) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and knowledge, if
they are supervised or instructed regarding the safe use of the device and understand
the dangers that may arise. Children may not play with the device. Cleaning and user
maintenance of the device may not be performed by children without supervision. Keep
packaging films out of the hands of children. There is a danger of suffocation.

Batteries

Keep batteries out of reach of small children. If a battery is swallowed, you must seek
medical attention immediately. Batteries/rechargeable batteries must always be
inserted in the correct polarity. If necessary, clean the battery and device contacts.
Never attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Never short-circuit or attempt
to open batteries. Never throw batteries into fire as they may explode.
If the device will not be used for an extended time period, remove the battery and store
the device in a dry and dust-free area. Improper use of the battery can lead to
explosion or leakage.
If the battery leaks, avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. Use gloves.
If you are exposed to battery acid, rinse the affected areas with plenty of clean water
and immediately seek medical attention. Remove discharged batteries from the device
as they present an increased risk of leakage.

Setup

Insert a 1,5 V AA R6/LR6 battery in the correct polarity into the battery compartment
on the back of the wall clock. The hands will move to the 12:00:00, 4:00:00 or
8:00:00 o'clock position and stop. The clock will now begin to receive the DCF77
radio signal. The reception process can take 3-10 minutes. After successful reception of
the radio signal, the hands will automatically move to the correct time. If the reception
process fails, it will be repeated hourly. The reception process can be restarted
manually by pressing and holding REC on the back side of the clock for 5 seconds. The
hands will move to the 12:00:00, 4:00:00 or 8:00:00 o'clock position and stop. The
clock will now begin to receive the DCF77 radio signal.

Manual time setting

This feature cannot be used while the clock is attempting to receive the radio signal
(Hands at 12:00:00, 4:00:00 or 8:00:00). Press and hold the SET button on the
backside of the clock for 5 seconds. The clock will enter manual mode. Press and hold
SET to move the hands to the correct position.
If the SET button is pressed briefly, the hands will move forward by exactly one minute.
After 7 seconds without pressing SET, the clock will exit manual mode and the hands
will move in the normal fashion.

Reset

In case of a malfunction, the clock can be reset and holding RESET on the back side of
the clock for 5 seconds (with a small screwdriver).
The hands will move to the 12:00:00, 4:00:00 or 8:00:00 o'clock position and stop.
The clock will now begin to receive the DCF77 radio signal.

Reception interference

The DCF77 radio signal is transmitted from the vicinity of Frankfurt am Main and can
be received within a radius of about 1500 km. However, there are some sources of
interference that may greatly hinder reception.
If your wall clock does not correctly receive the radio signal, hang the wall clock in a
different location. Please note, that the electromagnetic waves that may occur near
computers, telephones, radios and TVs can interfere with DCF77 radio reception.
Strong building insulation (metal building elements), mountains or atmospheric
interference can also hinder reception. Replace the batteries if necessary.

Thermometer and Hygrometer

Your wall clock includes displays for temperature (TEMPERATURE) and humidity
(HUMIDITY). After unpacking your wall clock it may take some time before the sensors
have adjusted to their new environment.

Cleaning instructions

Clean the product with a soft, dry and lint-free cloth. A glasses cleaning cloth is ideal.
