Display (normal operation):
-Battery status indicator
-CO-concentration
Unit is put into operation, e.g. after battery change. At the same time, the 3 LED control
lamps light up briefly and a short beep sounds. The unit is now ready for operation.
This device checks every 2 minutes if the sensor works properly. If a fault is found during the
check, the yellow LED (FAULT) flashes twice in succession and a short alarm tone sounds
every minute.
Unit must be replaced as the maximum service life has been reached!
Danger to life!
described in chapter: „What to do if alarms were triggered".
Notes on Installation (Fig.4) :
Since carbon monoxide has a similar density to breathing air, it is mainly distributed in the lower area of the
room. This CO detector should therefore be installed on the wall at breathing height, at least 1.5m above
the floor.
Installing the unit at eye level also makes it possible to monitor the indicator lights!
Mount the appliance at least 2 to 5 metres horizontally away from all fuel-burning appliances.
Install the unit at least 1.5m away from large furniture, doors and windows as well as walls and corners.
The distance to the ceiling should be at least 0,3m, because in corners none or too low air circulation takes
palce and the carbon monoxide can not get there.
In bedrooms the installation is to be preferred in respiratory height.
Make sure that all ventilation openings of the appliance are free.
Unit is in mute mode
Low CO concentration detected (in the range of 30PPM to
40PPM for a duration of 40-60 minutes). There is no danger to
life! A low accumulation of CO in the air can be caused, for
example, by strong cigarette smoke. Pregnant women, children
and sick people can be affected by the permanently low CO
concentration. This alarm is mainly for the protection of this
group of people. The cause of the accumulation of CO in the
environment should be urgently determined and remedied!
