batteries according to the regulations.
Replace old batteries with batteries of the same type!
Do not use rechargeable batteries. They have a too low voltage!
Remove the batteries from the battery compartment when you are not using the remote control for more
than a month. Make sure that the battery compartment is always closed when the battery is inserted!
Only operate the device when the battery compartment is closed!
Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be re-charged!

Never short the terminals of the batteries!
Start up:
Attention:
In order to prevent your hearing from being stressed too much by the very loud alarm tone, do not hold
the device close to your head during the function check! To avoid frightening noise-sensitive persons such as small
children, do not hold the unit in the same room during the function check!
Attention:
Check the function of the CO detector weekly!
Note:
To avoid an immediate triggering of the alarm during commissioning, choose an environment with the lowest
possible CO concentration.
Functional check:
After inserting the batteries, check the device for proper function by pushing the TEST button. The alarm tone
sounds and the LED lights up red 5 times. This is to check whether the electronics, the CO detector's alarm unit
and the batteries are functioning.
Note: If neither the alarm sounds nor the LED flashes, the batteries are may be empty or the device may be
defective. In case of a defect, replace it with a new functional device.
Temporary muting the Alarm:
Danger:
Before activate the mute-mode, leave your devices for example gas heaters, fireplaces etc check by a
specialist
In the event of a false alarm that was not triggered by an excessively high CO concentration, the alarm signal can
be silenced for approx. 10 minutes, but only if the CO concentration is below 200PPM. To do this, press and hold
the TEST button for approx. 3-5 seconds until the LED (ALARM) only flashes. The signal tone will stop for approx.
10 minutes while the red LED (ALARM) continues to flash. Then open doors and windows to clean the air. If the CO
concentration is still too high after 10 minutes, the alarm sounds again. The mute function can be repeated as often
as desired by pressing the TEST button.
By pressing and holding the TEST button again, the muting can be cancelled. The alarm remains triggered if the
CO concentration is higher than 40 ppm.
Recurrent self-test of the CO alarm detector on its function:
This unit performs every 45 seconds a self-test. You can see this by a short blink of the LED.
Explanation of the LED modes :
Red LED (ALARM) flashes and beeps 5 times
in succession 3 times at 10 second intervals:
Danger to life!
Dangerous CO concentration detected. In this
case, follow the measures described (see: "What to do in the
event of an alarm").
