3. PREPARATION

You will need to purchase a LPG gas bottle and regulator to operate this barbecue, these can be obtained from your nearest gas retailer.
Energy saving tips
1.
Reduce the opening time of the lid.
2.
Turn the gas off as soon as you have finished cooking.
3.
Only preheat the barbecue for 5 to 10 minutes.
(Except for the first use. Preheat for 10 mins with the LID OPEN).
4.
Do not preheat longer than recommended.
5.
Do not use a higher setting than required.
6.
Do not cook with the Lid down using the Maximum Heat Settings.
4. INSTALLATION
After purchasing your gas bottle you will then be ready to use your barbecue.
1.
Position the gas bottle at the side of your barbecue, not underneath, keeping in mind that the bottle must be kept away from heat and in a safe
position.
2.
When ready to use your barbecue attach the regulator to the gas bottle valve correctly. Check for Leaks.
Note: Before attempting to light your barbecue you must read the lighting instructions and warning/safety points.
Check the hose before each and every use, looking for cracks, cuts or any abrasions. If the hose is found to be faulty in any way do not attempt to use
your barbecue.
When changing your gas bottle ensur that there are no sources of ignition close by i.e. fires, cigarettes, naked blame etc. Make sure that the appliance
is switched off.
Ensure that the hose is free from any kinks or bends which will affect the gas flow when using your barbecue. The hose must not have undue tension
and must not touch any part of the barbecue which may be hot.
5. WARNING AND SAFETY POINTS
Please read the following safety points before using your barbecue.
1.
Please follow all assembly instruction in this manual; if the instructions are not followed correctly it may cause problems when used.
2.
This barbecue will become very hot when in use; take special care is when pets or children or elderly people are present.
3.
In the event of a gas leak shut off the gas to the barbecue, extinguish any open flames, open lid and if leak continues check for damages, poor
connection etc. Contact your local gas dealer immediately if the problem cannot be solved.
4.
Do not attempt to move Barbecue whilst it is in operation.
5.
Do not use or store any flammable liquids or vapors in the vicinity when operating the barbecue.
6.
This gas barbecue is designed for outdoor use only.
7.
Do not use a naked flame to check for gas leaks.
8.
Do not operate barbecue if there is a gas leak.
9.
Do not attempt to disconnect any gas fitting if your barbecue is being used. This includes the gas hose and regulator.
10. Care is advised when operating your barbecue, you should never leave it unattended when in use.
11. Only use the Flame Tamer Plate in this barbecue, do not attempt to use charcoal.
12. The barbecue should be cleaned on a regular basis. Take care not to enlarge burner ports of orifice openings when cleaning the burner or valves.
13. Do not attempt to use this appliance in a garage or any enclosed area. Also ensure to keep clear of any combustible materials, etc. We
recommend to keep a distance of at least 0.5 to 1.0 meter clear of any combustible materials.
14. We recommend that this barbecue be serviced by your local gas retail outlet at least once a year or by a competent engineer. Do not attempt to
service this appliance yourself.
15. Do not attempt any unauthorized interference of the main controls on this barbecue, i.e. gas taps, injectors, valve etc.

6. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

1.
Always test gas for leaks where the gas hose connects to the regulator and the barbecue. This MUST be done when first connecting the barbecue
and every time the gas bottle is changed.
2.
The Lid must always be open when lighting the burner.
3.
Use oven gloves and sturdy long handled barbecue tools when cooking on the grill.
4.
Be prepared if an accident or fire should occur. Know where your first aid kit and fire extinguishers are and how to use them correctly.
5.
Keep any electrical supply cord and the fuel supply hose away from any heated surfaces.
6.
Always cook with great care.
