6 Installation

6.2 Motor connection

6.2.1 Motor types I, II, III and V

NOTICE
• Ensure free access to the operating components and connections.
• Install the coolant recirculator with the robot welding power source
maintaining a circumferential clearance of 50 cm to ensure the optimum
circulation of the cooling air.
• Prevent dust and other foreign substances from entering the cool air
stream of the system.
• Protect the components against rain and direct solar radiation.
• Components must only be used in dry environments with sufficient
ventilation.
DANGER
Personal injuries and material damage
Incorrect mains connection can result in personal injuries and material
damage.
• Have a defective and damaged mains connection repaired by a
qualified specialist (in Germany see TRBS 1203).
• Non-observance will destroy the motor.
Always in connection with a motor protective switch.
Direction of rotation: clockwise
NOTICE
• In case of device version GK XXXXX S, set the motor protective switch to
a value of approx. 10% higher than the nominal current.
• In case of device version GK XXXXX V, set the motor protective switch to
nominal current.
