IMPORTANT NOTES
■
The solar lights are designed to decorate outdoor areas. The
storage battery charges during the daytime via the solar cell
fi eld. The accumulated energy allows the LED lights to illumi-
nate at night.
■
The product is intended for private and not for commercial
use. Only use the product as described in the instructions.
Any other use is deemed improper. Store the instructions in a
safe place.
■
Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts
to repair are excluded from the warranty. This also applies to
normal wear and tear.
■
Keep children and pets away from the product and packaging
material. The plastic wrappers pose a risk of suffocation!
■
Children must be under supervision to ensure that they do not
play with the product. They could injure themselves with the tip
of the ground spike, among other things.
■
In the event of extreme weather conditions (e. g. storm, hail) or
if you do not intend to use the products for a prolonged period
of time, turn off the solar unit and store the product in a dry
place.
■
Never submerge the product in water or other liquids! It is only
splashproof.
■
Do not disassemble the product (except for removing the stor-
age battery prior to disposal of the solar unit). Only have the
product repaired by a qualifi ed workshop or by customer ser-
vice.
■
Do not allow the product to fall and do not subject it to severe
percussions.
■
Do not use the product if it exhibits visible damages.
■
If a storage battery leaks, make sure that the battery acid does
not come into contact with your skin, eyes, or mucous mem-
branes. In case of contact with battery acid, rinse the affected
area immediately with plenty of clean water and seek immedi-
ate medical attention.
■
Storage batteries may not be disassembled, disposed of in
fi re, immersed in liquids or short circuited.
■
Ensure that the solar fi eld is always clean for the greatest pos-
sible collection of light. Therefore, clean it occasionally with a
damp cloth. Do not use any scouring or abrasive cleaners
to clean the product! They could damage the surface.
■
To ensure it activates automatically, the solar lights may not
be situated near other light sources such as street lamps or
other lamps.

Activation: slide ON/OFF switch to position ON.
Deactivation: slide ON/OFF switch to position OFF.
Start-up
The solar unit's storage battery must charge for approxi-
mately 8 hours in order for the LED lights to illuminate.
1. Unpack the product contents and remove all protective wrap-
pers and stickers, if present. Check all parts for possible trans-
port damages. Should you identify any transport damages,
please promptly consult customer service.
2. Plug the stainless steel spikes and the plastic tips together.
3. Open the solar light by twisting the bottom part anticlockwise
and taking it off.
4. Switch on the solar unit (ON).
5. Place the bottom part back on. Make sure that the locking lugs
sit in the recesses which are provided for them. Twist the bot-
tom part clockwise a little to secure it.
6. Insert the ground spike into the mounting on the solar light.
7. Mount the product in a place where it can collect direct sun-
light during the whole day preferably (ideally in open areas, not
underneath trees etc.). Insert the ground spike in the ground.
Make sure that it is securely anchored in the soil.
8. Align the solar fi eld towards the sun.
The storage battery can now be charged by the sunlight. At dusk,
the LED lights will automatically turn on. At dawn, the LED lights
turns off and the storage battery recharges via the solar cell fi eld.
Disposal
The packaging material can be recycled. Dispose of the
packaging in an environmentally-friendly manner and make
it available for the recyclable material collection-service.
Dispose of the product in an environmentally-friendly man-
ner. The product does not belong in the household garbage.
Dispose of it at a recycling centre for old electrical and elec-
tronic appliances. For more information, please contact the
administration in your community.
Batteries and storage batteries must be removed and dis-
posed of separately before disposing of the product. To pro-
tect the environment, batteries and storage batteries may
not be disposed of together with normal household waste.
Instead they must be turned in at collection points. Also be
sure to observe applicable legal regulations on battery dis-
posal.
Removing the storage battery
•
Open the solar light and take out the solar unit. You can now
carefully remove the battery.
