3.4 MMA WELDING

-
This welding machine is suitable for welding all
types of electrodes, with the exception of cellulose
electrodes.
-
Make sure the switch (5) is at 0 and then connect
the welding cables, ensuring that the polarity
prescribed by the manufacturer of the used
electrodes is respected.
VERY IMPORTANT:
Connect the grounding cable to the negative Din-
Coupling (2) using the work clamp (ground clamp)
and ensure good contact to guarantee trouble-free
operation of the equipment and avoid voltage drop with
the workpiece.
-
Connect the electrode cable with the electrode
holder (welding pliers) to the positive Din-Coupling
(4).
-
Check that the correct mains voltage corresponds
to the welding machine.
-
Do not touch the electrode holder and ground
connection at the same time.
-
Turn the machine on with the on/off switch (5).
-
Press the process selection button (28) to select
MMA welding (28c).
-
Press the welding mode selection button (29) to
select the AC (29a) or DC (29d) output.
-
Set the welding current and parameters
(see point 26).
Never forget to switch off the machine and
remove the electrode from the clamp after
welding.

3.5 TIG WELDING

-
This welding machine is suitable for TIG welding
with a High Frequency (HF) ignition mechanism for
welding the following materials: aluminum, stainless
steel, iron, copper.
-
Check that the correct mains voltage corresponds
to the welding machine.
-
Do not touch the welding torch and ground
connection at the same time.
-
Connect the TIG welding torch to the negative pole
(2) of the welding machine and connect the control
current plug to the control current connection (3)
and the gas connection (¼' on right) in position (1).
-
Connect the workpiece cable to the positive pole
(4) of the welding machine and connect the earth
clamp to the workpiece as close as possible to the
welding point.
Connect the gas hose to the (tulle) connection (8)
-
of the machine and the pressure regulator, which in
turn is connected to an ARGON cylinder.
-
Turn the machine on with the on/off switch (5).
-
Set the process selection button (28) to HF TIG or
LIFT TIG (the corresponding LED lights up).
-
If a water-cooled TIG welding torch and water
cooling unit are used, check that the water cooler
contains sufficient cooling agent and connect all
hoses / cables correctly.
Connect the water hoses of the torch to the front
of the water cooler (32/33). Make sure the blue
(supply) and red (drainage) hoses match the color of
the connections.
Connect the connecting cable (between power
source and water cooler) to the back of the power
source (7) and the back of the water cooler (34).
Use the selection button (20) to select 'water
cooling 'option' (21), if you want to switch on
the water cooler and use a water-cooled torch.
Select the 'air cooling 'option' (22), when using an
air-cooled welding torch. The water cooler is then
switched off.
-
Press the welding mode selection button (29) to
select the correct AC or DC output.
-
Set the selection button (23) to TIG 2-stroke or
4-stroke (the corresponding LED lights up).
-
Press the switch on the TIG welding torch and set
the gas consumption.
-
Use a tungsten electrode that is suitable for steel
and stainless steel. For example, an electrode with
2% cerium, with a diameter of Ø 2.4 mm (3/32").
-
Set the welding current and parameters (see point
30).
Do not forget to turn off the machine and close
the gas bottle valve after welding.

4. MAINTENANCE

Any maintenance operation must be carried out by
qualified personnel.
4.1 MAINTENANCE OF THE WELDING
INVERTER
In the case of maintenance inside the machine, make
sure that the switch (5) is in position "O" and that
the power cord is disconnected from the mains. It is
also necessary to periodically clean the interior of
the machine from the accumulated metal dust, using
compressed air.

4.2 PRECAUTIONS AFTER REPAIRS

After making repairs, take care to organize the wiring
so that there is secure insulation between the primary
and secondary sides of the machine. Do not allow the
wires to come into contact with moving parts or those
that heat up during operation. Reassemble all clamps
as they were on the original machine, to prevent a
connection from occurring between the primary and
secondary circuits should a wire accidentally break or
be disconnected. Also mount the screws with geared
washers as on the original machine.
