When connected incorrectly, the
casing of the light may carry electri-
cal voltage.
¾ The protective earth con-
ductor must be connect-
ed to the casing of the light!
¾ Connection only to be carried
out by a skilled electrician!
Switchable light
(DYP*)
Connect the light as shown in fig.
3a on page 3.
Important Information
A simple switch is sufficient for
the operation of the switchable
light (e.g. DYP 254).
Dimmable light
(DYP* /D)
Connect the light as shown in fig.
3b on page 3. Also observe the
circuit diagram on page 19.
Important Information
The operation of dimmable
lights (e.g. DYP 254/D) require
different operating units, de-
pending on the mounted ballast
unit. Never use a dimmer!
The lights are equipped with a
DALI ballast unit. These lights
can either be operated by us-
ing a spring loaded switch
(TouchDIM) or by the DALI bus
system.
Lights without a DALI ballast
unit (special edition) are oper-
ated by using a spring loaded
switch (TouchDIM)
