CAUTION
Risk of injuries when
assembling under voltage!
If you do not switch off the power
supply before assembling the
NK350/NK350S network coupler,
you may get injured or the device
or system components may be
damaged.
y Always switch off the power
supply to the relevant system
component before assembling
the NK350/NK350S network
coupler.
1. Switch off the power supply for the
BT356 card rack or SB35x system box
and allow for a discharging time of
10 seconds.
2. If necessary, remove modules from the
card rack or system box to get enough
space to assemble the network coupler.
3. Remove the panel on the rear of the front
panel by loosening both of the front
screws.
4. Insert the network coupler from the rear
into the recesses for the interfaces, hex
coding switch, and LEDs on the front
panel. Make sure you do not bend/
damage the LEDs.

y Always fix the network coupler
to the front panel with four
screws and to the side wall
with two screws.
y Make sure that no screws fall
into the housing by covering
the ventilation slots.
5. Fix the network coupler to the front panel
with four Sub-D lock bolts.
6. Fix the printed board to the side wall
using the two provided fastening screws.
7. Insert the end of the ribbon cable with the
strain relief in the card rack/system box.
8. Snap in the retaining clip and firmly clip
the ribbon cable.
9. Insert the other end of the ribbon cable in
the network coupler.
