WARNING: Failure to position the parts in accordance with these diagrams or failure to use only parts specifi cally approved with

CAUTION: Before proceeding with conversion, the gas supply must be shut off prior to disconnecting the electrical power.
1. Remove the safety barrier, door trims, glass door, media, and panels.
2. Remove 11 screws securing the media tray in place. Lift the tray up and out of the
appliance (Fig. 1).
3. Remove 2 screws securing the burner assembly in place then remove 4 screws
securing the air box cover in place (Fig. 2). Llift the assembly up and out of the
appliance to access the orifi ce. Avoid touching nut securing the air shutter slide (Fig.
5).
4. Using a deep socket wrench, remove the orifi ce and replace it with the one supplied.
5. On the burner assembly, remove the screw securing the burner air shutter in place.
Slide the burner from the air box cover hole and discard old burner. Install air box
cover then burner air shutter onto the new burner (supplied) and secure with screw.
Reverse instructions from step 3 to install new burner assembly.
6. a) When converting to natural gas (AX42 only), the front air defl ector must be
removed (Fig. 3).
b) When converting to propane (AX42 only), the front air defl ector must be installed (Fig. 3).
7. Remove the pilot hood from the pilot assembly by unhooking the retaining clip and pulling the pilot hood
vertically. Use a 5 / " Allen key to unscrew the injector. Replace the pilot injector with the one supplied.

Reassemble the pilot hood onto the assembly and reattach retaining clip. Ensure key position for proper
alignment.
8. Remove the 2 screws from the valve regulator and replace with the one supplied (Fig. 4).
9. The conversion data label must be fi lled out and attached adjacent to the valve.
10. Turn on the electriclal supply to the appliance.
