Example:
To turn the test picture generator on select the cipher 1 in the middle display segment using the "DOWN" but-
ton and the cipher 1 in the right display segment using the "UP" button.
On the TV screen a test picture will appear and a test sound is emitted as well.
Channel setting
The channel, through which the modulator is transmitting, is set using the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons.
To do this, the modulator must not be in programming mode.
On the basis of the following channel table, select a free channel on which no other programme
is transmitted.
• Press the "UP" button to change the transmission channel upwards.
• Press the "DOWN" button to change the transmission channel downwards.
• The selected channel is shown on the display.
• Perform station scanning on your TV set and save the transmission channel of the modulator on one of the
TV set's programme keys.

Handling
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm one. The con-
densation produced may destroy the modulator.
Leave the device disconnected and wait until it reaches room temperature. Wait until the condensed water
has evaporated.
• Never connect or disconnect power adaptors if your hands are wet.
• Never unplug the power adaptor from the power socket by pulling on the cable, always use the grips on the
plug.
• Unplug the power supply if you are not going to use the device for a while.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the power transformer from the mains socket during electrical storms.
• To ensure adequate ventilation, the modulator and the power supply unit must never be covered. In addi-
tion, the air circulation must not be obstructed by objects such as magazines, tablecloths or curtains.
Care and Maintenance
The product does not have to be serviced and, except for occasional cleaning with a soft, dry cloth, requires
no maintenance whatsoever.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as these may damage the surface of the hous-
ing.
Disposal
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the current statutory
requirements.
Elimination of problems
In purchasing the Stereo RF Modulator, you have acquired a product which has been designed to the state of
the art and is operationally reliable.
Nevertheless, problems or faults may occur.
Therefore, we would like to describe here how to eliminate possible faults:

Problem

LED display "POWER"
• Is the power supply unit connected correctly?
does not flash
• Is the mains socket for the plug-in power unit supplied with current ?
• Is the modulator turned on?
No picture, no sound
• Is the AV source device switched on?
• Is the AV source device connected correctly?
• Are the aerial lines connected correctly?
• Is the TV system set up correctly?
• Has the correct channel been set? Perform station scanning with your
TV set.
The picture, tone is
• Has the channel on the TV set been set correctly?
noisy or interference
If necessary, perform fine-tuning on the TV set.
• Is there a strong source of interference e.g. electric motor, radio equip-
ment etc. nearby?
A black image
• The test picture generator is switched on. Switch it off as
white stripes appear and
described in "Programming of the operating mode" .
a whistling sound is emitted
