A1 GENERALITY

A1.1 MiniDOS scope and not recommended uses
MiniDOS is a mechanical volumetric dosing pump used to dose in drinking water the anti-scaling anti-

corrosive AcquaSIL 20/40 . The dosage is proportional to water flow and MiniDOS guarantees the P O

concentration lower than 5 ppm. AcquaSIL 20/40 is an aqueous solution of food grade polyphosphates
which helps to prevent the formation of scale and corrosion in waterworks protecting boilers, washing
machines, dishwashing machines etc... Any use not covered in this manual is not recommended.

A1.5 MiniDOS operation
MiniDOS is a self priming pump, it is thus sufficient to draw water from a tap to prime the pump. MiniDOS is
a mechanical pump that doesn't require electrical power supply; the operation is automatically activated by

the water flow. The dosage of AcquaSIL 20/40 is proportional to water flow rates for withdrawals between
the minimum and peak flow rates (see table in paragraph A1.7). For water flows below the minimum the
