Warnings and Safety Precautions
Note:
Improper use or handling can result in
property damage and/or personal injury.
Only qualified personnel may install and
operate the equipment. Make sure you
observe the warning and safety informa-
tion in its entirety during installation and
operation, as well as while performing
maintenance and repair work on the
equipment. The standards, regulations,
occupational safety requirements and
environmental protection laws valid in
your country must be observed. It is
important that all personnel using the
equipment understand this warning and
safety information, and have access to
the relevant documents at all times.
Furthermore, the warning and safety
information supplied with any electrical
equipment connected, such as peripheral
devices, must be observed as well.
The warnings and safety precautions may
have to be supplemented by the equip-
ment operator. All operating personnel
must be informed of any additions to
these instructions. Make sure the equip-
ment is accessible at all times.
General Provisions for Installing the
Combics Pro (CISPRO)/Option Y2
The Combics Pro (CISPRO)/Option Y2
model meets the requirements defined in
EC Directive 94/9/EC for Category II
equipment and is approved for use in
Zone 2 and 22 hazardous areas in accor-
dance with the following manufacturer's
declaration: refer to SAG.04.ATEX.002,
under "Documents."
– The areas of use for the Combics Pro
(CISPRO)/Option Y2 are defined in the
manufacturer's declarations. All restric-
tions listed in the manufacturer's declara-
tion must be strictly observed. Operating
the Combics Pro (CISPRO) model beyond
the restrictions indicated is not permitted,
and is considered use of the equipment
for other than its intended purpose.
Adhere to the safety precautions,
in accordance with drawing number
65728-740-16-A4 (see "Documents").
– The terminal is protected against pene-
tration by solid foreign objects (dust-
tight) and harmful quantities of water
when immersed under defined conditions
of pressure and time (IP67 protection
rating).
