Filling with spirit:
Take the grid off the rechaud, remove the reflector, open the tank filler lid (1).
Only use methylated spirits for your rechaud. Using the wrong fuels, especially petrol,
is dangerous. Risk of burning and explosion!.
Fill with no more than 2 beakers of spirit, no higher than the bottom of the tank filler
tube. Only fill with the beaker, never from the bottle (2).
Wipe spirit off the tank with a paper towel. (3).
Commissioning:
Only use your rechaud on a dry and level surface that is not slippery. Never light
your rechaud until it is safely on the table with no flammable materials anywhere
near it. (4).
Before lighting, make sure the burner tube is firmly screwed in, the reflector is ins-
talled, and the tank filler lid is screwed on.
Press down the end of the flame regulating lever 1 and light the wick 2 (5).
Tip: Warm up your rechaud for 10 minutes. Light it with long matches or a gas
cooker lighter.
The flame is hard to see in daylight or brightly lit rooms. Take care to avoid
risk of burning! (6).
Never put an empty caquelon pot on the rechaud when alight. Always leave
the reflector installed.
Keep the rechaud and methylated spirit out of reach of children. Never let children use
or play with your rechaud. It must be operated and used by adults only (7).
Never leave your rechaud unattended it is hot or with the flame alight! (8).
Only use your rechaud for serving fondue. Using it for any other purpose is dangerous
and strictly prohibited (9).
Your rechaud gets hot in use. To avoid risk of burning, never touch it until after it
cools down (10).
Press the end of the flame regulating lever down to make the flame smaller. Then
blow out the flame. Put the snuffer on to prevent residual spirit from evaporating.
Caution if still hot! Only put the snuffer on after your rechaud has cooled down.
Never stack rechauds without snuffers in place (11).
Caution: Fire hazard (plastic tank).
Refilling:
First let your rechaud cool down. Always extinguish the flame and let your rechaud
cool down before refilling (12).
Tip: Fill the tank before use (max. 2 measuring jugs); thanks to long burning time,
further refills are normally not required. If a refill is required, follow the «filling» inst-
ructions. Never refill or transport your rechaud when it is hot or when the flame is alight.
