APPENDIX

More characteristics :
AUF 500 mixes A and B using 24 bits at 96 KHz (maximum) .
Input can be analogue with the option to convert to 24 bits 96KHz asynchronous with A(frequency
and/or phase different) using a frequency converter synchronised with A, or digital synchrone with A
(in that case the converter is by passed).
Channel A being the synchronisation channel, AUF500 allows clear passing of free bits (USER),thus
allowing transmission of auxiliary informations (start, remote configuration etc...) from one
equipment before AUF500 to an other after AUF500.
On the other hand, handling of free bits in B raster, allows to control switching, and some parameter
using a dedicated protocol. AF500 « PIPELINE » design is totally synchrone, and allows to mix A and
B channels, keeping a constant input/output delay, according to the A sampling frequency.
Example :
This design allows, comparatively to FIFO / DSP systems, to keep full control of digital link :
Synchronisation mastering (known and constant delay).
User informations mastering (transparent system).
Validity bit mastering (mastering of transmitted data).
AUF500 features a monitoring section to listen to channel A, B and output using a high
quality 24 bits 96 KHz DAC (digital to analogue converter, and a level display using a peak
meter. This one using the digital raster, allows to check its filling, then to optimise the input
level of the selected input.
Level A/N conversion setting channel B.
Input level setting (channel A, channel B).
Output level display.
